HOME CARE OF EXTENSION
Hair extensions are washed and treated the same way as you do your natural hair. The use of salon professional products is required to guarantee a long life for your extensions.
LENGTH OF TIME EXTENSIONS WILL LAST
LATEX WEFTS
Will generally last 2-3 weeks sometimes longer with proper care. Removal is done with an oil based product.
MONKEY BARZZ
This method will last anywhere from 2-3 months, theses extensions must be removed by a professional.
BONDED WEFTS
This technique lasts up to six weeks.
CUSTOM MADE CLIP IN’S
This hair can be used approximately 3-5 months
BONDED HAIR EXTENSIONS
Expect to lose hair after each wash or brushing. Your hair sheds naturally and the beads loosen. Roughly you will lose 10-12 strands per wash/brush. Do not be alarmed when this happens. After three weeks from your initial installation you will have the option to come in and get all the pieces that fell out filled back in. So save the pieces that fall out. Only pieces that have fallen out will be put back in.
WASHING
It is recommended that you do not wash your hair more then twice a week. Brush your hair and remove all tangles prior to wetting hair. Wash your hair in a downward motion, being careful not to suds the ends. Use a heavy conditioner on the ends, let it sit for as long as you can and again only on the ends. Every few weeks you can do a Masque With Surface Bassu Hydrating Mask on the ends if hair starts to feel dry. After showering, lightly wrap hair in a towel.
STYLING
Use a leave in conditioner and hair oil. E.g.) Surface Bassu Oil, and Surface Bassu Hydrating Masque. It is best to let hair air dry as the more heat the more damage to the hair. You will need to finish your look with some kind of hot tool, e.g.) Flat Iron, Curling Iron.
REMOVAL
Removal must be done by the professional who installed your hair extensions to ensure the least amount of breakage.
Feather Extensions
Q: What is a Feather Extension?
A: A Feather Extension is similar to any natural or imitation hair extension. It is made of bird feathers that are semi-permanent and can be removed at any time, but are attached to your hair.
Q: What is a Bundle?
A: A Bundle is ONE extension and consists of either 3 feathers for $20.00 or 5 feathers for $30.
Q: How long do they last?
A: Depending on how you care for them, Feather Extensions can be removed immediately and can also last in your hair anywhere from 3 weeks to several months. Length of wear depends on hair growth, hair thickness and care of the extension and your hair.
Note: You can remove the extension at any time.
Q: Is there special care required?
A: You can treat your hair as you normally would. You can wash it, use a curling or straightening iron and gently brush the area in which the Feather Extension has been placed.
Q: How are they installed?
A: We carefully use a small piece of your hair to attach the Feather Extension using a silicone micro bead.
